Sprucebird  /  About

We're the people who make unsearchable data useful.

AI made generating things cheap. It did not make it cheap to turn a company's own messy, proprietary data into answers. That specific, expensive, unglamorous problem is our entire reason to exist.

What we believe

Our read on where things are going.

01 The era of paying for giant, one-size-fits-all software is closing. Custom-built, owned software has never been cheaper to produce, so the smart move is increasingly to own a system shaped exactly to your business.
02 A company's data is an asset whose value it doesn't yet own. Organized and queryable, that same data surfaces insights that would otherwise take hundreds of hours, or never get found at all.
03 We come alongside your team. The goal is a powerful new capability on top of your own expertise: a tool that makes people faster and sharper, with a human always in the loop.
Who you work with

Two engineers. Direct relationship.

You work with the people doing the work. No account managers, no offshore handoffs, no telephone game.

Caleb Campbell

Co-founder · Data & pipelines

Caleb builds the machinery that turns raw, unstructured data into something queryable: transcription, normalization, classification, and the search underneath it all.

He's the one who insists on measuring accuracy on real data, so "it works" is a number we can stand behind.

[ portrait: Owen ]

Owen McComas

Co-founder · Systems & tooling

Owen builds the systems that run everything on-premise and the tools clients actually use on top: the searches, alerts, and exports shaped to each workflow.

He's the reason your data never has to leave your network for any of this to work.

Honest about fit

Who we're for.

Saying no to the wrong fit is the discipline that keeps us doing the thing we're actually best at.

We're for you if

  • +You have a large volume of data you need to find, compare, or pull up quickly.
  • +A meaningful chunk of it is in formats you can't search today: calls, video, recordings, sprawling message history.
  • +You'd prefer to pay someone to solve it.
  • +There are real consequences when the data is wrong or can't be found.

We're probably not for you if

  • You're a startup or a technically self-sufficient team.
  • Your data is small or already clean.
  • Your first instinct is "I'll just use ChatGPT for this."
